fancy date night: three course tasting menu

My husband and I love dinners filled with small plates. Tasting many options makes dinner fun. That’s why we love heading to Sample Room in Northeast Minneapolis for dinner.

We are obsessed with trying prix fix menus that many local restaurants offer for holidays like New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day. So, I’m excited about the new three course seasonal menu at Cosmos. Cosmos, located at the Graves 601 Hotel downtown Minneapolis, is serving a three course meal for $19.95 during their normal dinner hours. Reservations are required when
requesting this menu, but I think it’s worth it.

And don’t forget to try one of their amazing and unique cocktails like the blackberry julep which has Marie Brizard blackberry liqueur, fresh blackberries and fresh lemon juice or the Moulin Rouge which is made up of Grand Marnier, Belvedere, fresh squeezed orange, lemon and lime juice, champagne and grenadine.

For your appetizer, you can choose from Maryland crab cakes with hollandaise and herb egg salad or lobster bisque with chive crème fraîche and red pepper croutons.

Entrée choices include pan seared salmon, pomme duchesse, toasted almond foam, caper brown butter and lemon; penne pasta, basil cream, mushrooms, garlic and red pepper; or Swedish meatballs, mashed potato, lingonberries, pickled cucumber and cream sauce.

And my favorite part of any meal is always dessert! Try the vanilla bean crème brûlée with seasonal berries or the daily selection of house made sorbets and ice cream. Crème brûlée for me, please!

Live the fancy life!
