oh-so-fancy anniversary party

My husband and I were two of the fortunate few who were invited to Leah and Shane’s five-year anniversary party a couple weeks back. Expecting to go to a fabulous barbeque with friends to celebrate the love of this wonderful couple, we were blown away when we walked into a catered, gorgeous event! First, we were welcomed by this beautiful carnation ball!

When we walked in, I was shocked to see beautiful table linens and chair covers, gorgeous flower centerpieces, candles, bottles and bottles of bubbly and of course, fabulous friends. Here are a few shots of the details.

And the food was incredible. We started with a seasonal salad filled with fresh vegetables and fruit.

Check out this grilled polenta! So delicious!

I’m vegetarian, so the polenta was my main course and it didn’t disappoint! But for the carnivores at the table there were plenty of offerings including some amazing steak that I didn’t get a great shot of. And of course, no dinner is complete without dessert.

And the dessert in candelight. It was amazing!

Here are a couple of the guests including the still in-love and still happy couple, Leah and Shane!

And us ladies!

The table below is after dinner—a clear sign of a fabulous night!

They even had bottles of the wine they drank on their wedding night. So sweet…

Happy anniversary to Leah and Shane! Wishing you another five years of joy before you have to host us again! Can’t wait!

Live the fancy life!
