wedding dress memories and a sample sale

Last year at this time, I realized that the wedding gown I had ordered nearly six months earlier was not the wedding gown I would wear on my wedding day. I had to find a different wedding dress VERY quickly.

I started at Priscilla of Boston right before the June sample sale. The store manager Sarah (LOVE HER), after hearing my predicament, ran into the basement of the store. She grabbed every gown that was slated for the sample sale and brought them up to me.

I didn’t have time to order a dress, so it had to be a sample. I tried them on quickly, somewhat panicked one after another.

And then, I found THE ONE! I hadn’t experienced that feeling of finding the one my first time around, so I knew this was it.

I could finally see myself walking down the aisle to my future husband in front of 250 friends and family!

Since I had already purchased another gown, I was beyond nervous to look at the price tag knowing that this dress was a Melissa Sweet (her prices range from $2000 to upwards of $5000 for bridal gowns).
It was a relief to see that this dress was nearly 75 percent off the original price with only a few buttons missing on the back. Without anyone I knew in the room, I bought it… just me and the fabulous store staff.

I digress. 🙂 The point of this lengthy and personal story is that lucky for you brides-to-be out there, Priscilla of Boston is hosting a sample sale this Friday, June 18. Maybe you will find THE ONE! And I’m not talking about your fiance… you already have him. 😉

Live the fancy life!
