restaurant week 2010

You thought fancy celebrations like restaurant week and fashion week are only in New York. Wrong!

Twin Cities Restaurant Week 2010 kicks off Feb. 28 and runs through March 5. Sadly, I will actually be in New York City so will miss this culinary treat. And we have a fashion week coming in April which I’ll write about another time.

I love eating! And I love trying exciting new foods so restaurant week is perfect! Prepare to enjoy a week’s worth of fabulous food at unbeatable prices from some of the best restaurants in the Twin Cities.

Participating restaurants will present specially priced meals that showcase their culinary offerings. Lunches will include two courses at $10 or $20 and dinners will include three courses at $15 or $30 and you can add wine pairings. This might be your chance to live the fancy life with a few less dollars at some very fancy eateries.

With almost 50 restaurants to choose from, you may not know where to begin. Well, I definitely have some favorites. I am by no means a food critic and I haven’t tried every restaurant, but the following are a few I recommend.

Ginger Hop
201 E. Hennepin Ave.
Minneapolis

Barrio
925 Nicollet Mall
Minneapolis
or
235 E. 6th St.
St. Paul

Cafe Lurcat
1624 Harmon Place
Minneapolis

Get out and enjoy every bite. Live the fancy life!

Hey Jes- This looks awesome do you know if we have to make reservations first and say we want the special menu or can we just walk in and order the option.
Thanks for all the fancy ideas!!!!

  2. Funny that you posted this – I JUST booked a reservation at Barrio St. Paul for next week! I’ve never been there so I’m glad to hear you recommend it!

  3. NYC is always amazing, have a great time! We’ll be in Mexico and will miss restaurant week too.
